HOW TO USE THIS SEARCH FACILITY
You do not need to enter multiple facts to search for the soldier your looking for. The service No for example is unqiue and should quickly find him (if he is on the database). Surname will often return a small selection from where you can see the individual but you can also input a given name to narrow the search down even further.
Locations of Birth/Death and Unit Name are primarily there to conduct broader searches for people from particular towns, or men who served in the same unit.
As a general rule however, these are not useful in searching for an indiviudal and could result in not finding any results.
If that happens remove some of the items you have entered and try again.
